Four tones, and why
Oat, bone, moss and smoke. We have tried to leave and we keep coming back, so at some point it stops being a season and starts being a position.
The practical reason is that all four sit at a similar value. Photograph them in black and white and they nearly collapse into one grey, which means anything in the wardrobe layers over anything else without a fight.
Where the accent goes
One warm note per outfit — a chestnut strap, a run of ember glaze on a bowl. Any more and the restraint starts to read as indecision rather than intent.
